In April 2013, the North Miami Police Department was assessed by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) for their ability to comply with 266 strict standards set forth. The accreditation process requires an in-depth review of every aspect of the agency’s organization, management, operations, and administration.
Our assessment was successful, and in June 2013, the Department received this coveted award for the fifth time. In 2016, the Department will again go through a review by CFA with the expectation of again being granted re-accredited status. If successful in our endeavors, our next award will be elevated to the Excelsior Award
Accreditation symbolizes professionalism, excellence, and competence. Both the employees and the public we serve take pride in the agency, knowing that it represents the very best in law enforcement.
