The Uniform Patrol Section is the backbone of the North Miami Police Department. Every day, this Section provides around-the-clock police service to the City of North Miami. The members of the Uniform Patrol Section handle a wide range of responsibilities. Some of their duties are routine tasks, such as enforcing traffic laws, investigating traffic crashes, and settling disputes. Members of the Uniform Patrol Section also handle high liability incidents, including crimes in-progress, violent altercations and medical emergencies. Our officers patrol the business districts, parks and neighborhoods day and night. In 2006, they responded to over 46,000 calls for service. The Uniform Patrol Section is comprised of officers, supervisors, K-9 partners and Public Service Aides. These fine personnel work together as a team to continue our reduction of crime and the fear of crime in North Miami.
