The North Miami Police Department has a highly trained and specialized SWAT team, which is under the direction of Lt. Steve Miller. Members of this unit were carefully selected and must undergo vigorous physical training before being allowed to participate in SWAT exercises. All members of the North Miami Police Department’s SWAT team must continually undergo advanced training in order to be a part of this elite group.
